Despite all the security issues with this configuration, I need help making this work.
I have SBS2000/ISA/Exchange/CompanyWeb on a server connected to our T-1 Router.
I recently implemented another server, W2K3/Sharepoint services as a member server in the domain.
I would like to publish Sharepoint on the W2K3 box through the SBS/ISA box.
I have followed countless documents on getting ISA2000 to publish, but I haven’t had any luck.
The publically-resolved web addresses I’d like to use are www.company.com and beta.company.com, both resolve to the external interface on the SBS2000 box.
Here’s what I’ve done:
-Created a destination set using the FQDN of beta.company.com
-Used a web publishing rule for beta.company.com redirecting to internal IP 10.0.0.6
-ISA server configured for web listener on external interface for Integrated authentication only (I have tried Basic and Basic/Integrated with same
results).
I’ve done a lot more than that to make this work, but that’s some of the more important steps.
Also, it’s important to note that it’s apparant that ISA is simply ignoring all the configuration changes. The reason I say that is in desparation I created a web redirect in IIS on the SBS box and it behaves differently when trying to access it remotely: with the IIS redirect, the remote browsing
simply times out. Without the IIS redirect, I get error 404.
I know sharepoint is working because it behaves normally when accessed from the LAN on one of the workstations OR the SBS box.
*I posted this question in both microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz2000,microsoft.public.isa.publishing and have yet to recieve a response.
I suspect that SBS2000 won’t forward HTTP requests off of it by design, but I can’t find any information to substatiate that conclusion.
